Podolski, sexiest man? *yuck*
agree with you, Francine, anyone but them, that win today made them think they are really the best team in the whole wide world. lol. Hubby had a fit. So why wasn't Messi playing?

Poor coaching from the Pekerman cost the Atgies I see he resigned, too! It seemed they were doing the right thing for most of the match, tho: they took Klose practically out of the match, and kept defense on all the German strikers. When their goalkeeper had to be carted off on a stretcher is when the problems began. I don't think they wanted to waste one of their subs on the goalkeeper. But that's just my igorant eye... Paris Hilton is hardly the bastion of great taste (see: the tennis players she's dabbled with, yick!). Klose is adorable, and I think Lahm is pretty cute, too. And there's another one, a tall blonde skinny guy, that was pretty easy on the eyes, too...

So why wasn't Messi playing? I'm going to assume my being so far away from the media circus is probably why I'm not chomping at the bit for Germany to lose I also actually LIKE Jurgen Klinsmann (which seems to be another rarity these days) and hope that he does well enough here that he's not shamed into helming the sorry US squad. Talk about wasted talent...

Yes, why don't you Dutch ever root for Germany? I think the current German team is different to the ones before, they aren't as arrogant and cynical, Klinsmann seems to be a very nice and intelligent person, although he was the worst diver ever as a player. I think Sweden is becoming more positive to Germany with this WC, despite the boring IKEA and viking jokes.

I have a new hate team: Portugal! They're so boring the clocks stop! Don't they know you're supposesd to score? You don't get marks for a nice passing game. I totally cheered for England at the end of that match. Of course they lost the penalties again.
