Oh no. I love Crawford, I hope we dont' ditch him. As for the goalie situation... well, our hands are really tied bcos of the new salary cap. We are right at the limit. Which means, we have to give up someone significant in salary wise to get a good goalie. And now that Cloutier is on IR, there's no way that we can trade an injuried goalie. So rumors been that we are going to give up a top Dman and some others to get a good goalie, which is all good but honestly, I really don't want to lose anyone of our Dmans. As much as I hate our goalie situation, I rather that we keep Auld then give up someone like Jovo, which's been the name in trade rumors. We lost 2 good Dmans before the season even began. Plus, core players in this team who's been around for 5-6 years, they are like family, you don't never want them traded. They are what the Canucks is.
But anyhow, I know I whine and cry about the goalie problem all the time and I pretty much know that we won't be able to win the Cup with these batch of goalies that we have. But deep down, I can't bear to see any of the core players go to another team. If there's anything we could have done differently, I only wish that we didn't re-sign Cloutier and instead, just get a new one. Then again, I'm not sure if we have enough money to go for guys at the Cujo caliber at the first place. So if we are to give up Cloutier to get another mediocre one, then why not gives Dan a chance, I guess that's what the logic was for resigning him. Well, only if we had known that he would be out for more than half of the season, then they would have done sth differently. But like I said, Auldy is in a very tough position and I think he has great future in our organization. But the team is in dire situation and he is not the solution. I don't even think he is the problem. If the team had played a little bit better in front of him, than we won't even have to rely on Auldy saving the day every time. That's how it's need to be from now on for us. Vancouver has and will always be a flashy team, we don't win games by grinding the other teams down, that's just not our style. But I would like to see them work a little harder to gain the puck control, win those little battles. When we don't lose more than half of the faceoff in a game, do ditch our more hits, have puck control more often and dictate the tempo of the game, then the skill players can really excel in what they do best. All these things that they need to do, they just haven't done enough. But I still don't think it's the coach's fault.
