Here's what that World Cup Live show consists of -
About two comments about the previous match, followed by ESPN-trademarked Cheese Pieces about the US team, including segments about how much the US sucked in the past World Cups. Over-emphasizing the importance of their QF berth in 02. Then this brilliant dissection of their group -
"We can beat the Czech Republic - we have tall players, too!"
"We can beat Italy - they are too distracted by the Serie A scandal and their players are too old!"
"We can beat Ghana - they are rookies and their coach is a racist!"
Now there's some brilliant reasons to support the US team...they actually boasted that 5 of the 23 players on the squad played in European leages. FIVE of TWENTY-THREE! What an advantage you got there, geniuses.
The commentators? A dude from the 98 squad and a woman who played in the professional women's league for its five or six year run here.

If you compare the leagues Sweden's players are in vs the ones Trinidad and Tobago play in, there is a huge difference in level. T&T also only have two "name" players, and they were at their supposed best 5 years ago. The whole world is laughing at Sweden right now. I guess that's what hurts, because we're not out of the tournament. Yet.

If we beat Paraguay, they are out for sure. Then it all comes down to how T&T does in their remaining matches. As if they will take another point...
