. btw, I did watch the 2nd half of 2nd period and 3rd period of Canada vs Finland. And according to the commentators, Canada was playing better than before and that's really scary for me. Were they just comparing the 2nd and the 3rd period to the first? I hope anyway, they played pretty well against the Italians and the Germans . But I guess that's no comparison to the Finns. And I didn't bother to watch the Swiss game, but they did have a ton of shot on goals in that Swiss game, but Gerber was on his game, in fact Gerber played out of his mind good. Ya, they played a horrible first period, basically walking around and on defense most of the time. Surely not too pretty to watch.

Oh, so they can't be 2nd, well, that sucks. I haven't figure out how the tiebreaker works yet. I guess if Canada and Switzerland both won 3 games, then Canada will lose bcos they lost to the Swiss? Anyway, doesn't matter. I guess the momentum is more important than the standing. They were SO in consecutive games, they needs to score and a win over the Czechs is badly needed. Switzerland is 2-1-1 while Canada is 2-0-2. Yes, a win vs Czechs is really needed No excuse at all, I was pretty tongue-in-cheek. What I want to say is, Canada should select HEALTHY Dmen playing well recently than those walking injured and just returned to the game, like MaCabe, Nash, blah blah blah.

Congratulation to Canadian women YOU DID IT!!! Brodeur called Labonte (women's team goalie) providing some pointers. I say the men should learn something from the women.

We have Cammi Granato as commentator on NBC and WOW after 4 years, she is still soooooo bitter of the loss to Canada. Whining about the loonie under the ice and pretty nasty words toward Wickenheiser. And she's the worst commentator I ever heard. Stuttering and trip over herself in talks.

Congratulation to Canadian women YOU DID IT!!! What a surprise. The match was a yawner after Canada's first goal. It was like Soviet in the 80's, when they were one player down, the play was even. Only thing exciting was the prize-money, Team USA have a lot of hotties on their team! USA, USA, USA!

If you say so, Lee The Swedish coach actually put forth the idea of throwing the game against Slovakia as to get an easier opponent in the quarterfinals, ie Switzerland. That didn't go down very well amongst the Swedish public.

If you say so, Lee The Swedish coach actually put forth the idea of throwing the game against Slovakia as to get an easier opponent in the quarterfinals, ie Switzerland. That didn't go down very well amongst the Swedish public. And IIHF is sending official to the Sweden/Slovakia match to ENSURE the Swedes are not throwing the game IIHF spokesman Szymon Szemberg said Kalervo Kummola, head of the Finnish Hockey Association, would monitor Tuesday night's game. There are no actual rules against tanking a game but Szemberg said there potentially could be a fine against the Swedes if it's too obvious they were trying to lose.
"This is the biggest stage hockey has," Szemberg said. "We do not want game previews to be about tanking games. This is not our objective. This is definitely not the exposure we want."
Szemberg said he met with the head of the IIHF Rene Faesl and said Fasel was "disappointed."
"He feels those comments were out of place. He feels they could potentially harm the integrity of the tournament."

So Switzerland's wins vs Czechs and Canada were just some flukes? How can a team beat these two countries but tied Italy and Germany?

Are Canada's Dmen too slow or the forwards of other teams too fast?
