It's interesting how my interest in tennis goes on and off randomly when it's not Major or Clay time. IW I watched a little in the beginning, then not at all in the end. Miami very little in beginning, nothing in the middle, and now I'm really excited about the final. Canas the Fed slayer against the Djokovic the fake injury timeouts guy! Time to evaluate the hype!

Singles - Final (Q)G Canas (ARG) vs (10)N Djokovic (SRB) - Best of 5 Sets
I thought the finals were all best o' three now? Haha! Canas probably has the edge in fitness, definitely in experience.
I like Djokovic, tho. I thought he was quite impressive at IW, and am very pleased that he made the Top 10 before Murray, whom I just cannot stomach.

Why was IW final three sets again? I mean there's at least three days rest before Miami starts so why not a five setter? Is TV the crook?

I know it's against the rules, but I thought the ladies' final was more exciting. Justine vs. Serena had more drama, more tactical and technical variation. Djokovic plays nice tennis, very nice at times, he just doesn't spark my interest. I don't know why really. He used to take dubious injury time outs, but he was younger then and seems to have grown out of that kind of behaviour. So? And Canas, maybe it was just this match, but didn't he play more powerful and happening tennis before his suspension? Or is it just me?

I didn't see the match, I'm just happy with the result.
